Grow restaurant-quality microgreens at home. Fast harvests (7-14 days), no garden needed, extremely high nutritional density.
Microgreens are the fastest-growing segment of home growing — and for good reason. They produce nutritional harvests in 7-14 days, require minimal equipment, work in apartments and small spaces, and deliver flavors and nutrition that grocery store microgreens can't match.
Toledo Indoor Garden stocks everything for microgreens growing: professional trays, coco or hemp growing mats, LED grow lights sized for microgreens production, and heirloom seed varieties. Here's everything you need.
Tested and recommended by our expert growers. All in stock and ships eligible products to all 50 states.

Start with sunflower or pea shoots — both are easy, fast, and delicious. A $150 investment (trays + light + seeds) produces months of fresh microgreens. Scale up with more trays on a dedicated shelving unit with lights on each level for continuous daily harvests.
Do microgreens need a grow light?
Windowsill growing works but typically produces leggy, pale microgreens that stretch toward light. A dedicated LED grow light produces dense, colorful, nutritious microgreens with much shorter internodes. For serious production, a grow light is essential.
What medium is best for microgreens?
Professional growers use coco coir pads, hemp fiber mats, or fine-textured growing media rather than soil. Coco pads are clean, consistent, and rehydrate easily. Avoid heavy garden soil — it compacts, drains poorly, and can harbor pathogens in trays.
How many trays do I need to feed a family?
For one family eating microgreens daily, 3-4 trays in rotation (one tray harvested per week) provides continuous supply. Each 1020 tray yields roughly 6-8 oz of finished microgreens. With a 10-day harvest cycle, 4 trays staggered at 2-3 day intervals provides daily harvests.
Can I grow microgreens without soil?
Yes — in fact, soil-free growing is preferred for microgreens. Coco coir pads, hemp fiber mats, jute mats, and hydroponic pads all work better than soil for tray growing. They're cleaner, more consistent, and easier to harvest from.
