GERMAN FOXTAIL MILLET-STRAIN R 50#
Description
Wetsel Seed™ Strain R German Foxtail Millet is a fast-growing, warm-season annual grass reaching heights of 3 to 6 feet, characterized by its dense, cattail-like seed heads. Maturing in just 40 to 50 days, it produces fine-stemmed, leafy forage ideal for high-quality hay production. This variety thrives in various soil types and exhibits strong drought tolerance, making it suitable for regions with limited rainfall. Typically harvested at the boot stage for optimal nutritional value, it is a one-cut crop with limited regrowth potential. Due to the presence of setarian, a compound potentially harmful to horses, it is not recommended for equine feed. Strain R German Foxtail Millet is also utilized in wildlife food plots and as a cover crop, offering quick ground cover and soil enhancement benefits.
